Antigua and Barbuda is a constitutional monarchy with a unitary structure and a parliamentary form of government.
The lower house of its bicameral parliament ('House of Representatives') is directly elected, with electoral system inherited from the British, by first-preference plurality (FPP, aka first-past-the-post, FPTP) in single-member (single-seat) districts. The relavance of tactical voting is therefore very high and the results are highly disproportional.
